Boats, RVs, tall trucks, and SUVs all share the same problem: there are surfaces you simply can't reach comfortably with a standard wash mitt. The Cap'n Mitt on a Stick solves that with an extendable handle that puts a plush microfiber wash head exactly where you need it — on the roof of a lifted truck, across the hull of a boat, or over the top of a full-size van — without a ladder, without straining, and without scratching.
At Chicago Jax Wax, we especially love this tool for our marine customers. Washing a boat hull from the dock is a workout without the right tool. With the Cap'n Mitt on a Stick, you can cover large surfaces quickly, safely, and with the same scratch-free microfiber quality you'd expect from any Jax Wax wash tool.
Who It's Built For
- Boat owners — reach across hulls, decks, and topsides without climbing or stretching dangerously
- Truck and SUV owners — clean roofs, hoods, and rear hatches without a step stool
- RV and van owners — cover large, tall surfaces efficiently without a ladder
- Anyone who wants a faster wash — the extended reach covers more surface area per pass
Key Features
- Extendable handle — reaches surfaces that are impossible to clean safely with a standard mitt
- Plush microfiber wash head — same scratch-safe, high-suds microfiber quality as the Jax Wax Wash Mitt
- Lightweight and easy to maneuver — comfortable to use even at full extension
- Rinses clean — the microfiber head releases dirt easily and can be machine washed
How to Use
- Extend the handle to the desired length and lock in place
- Soak the microfiber head in your soapy wash bucket
- Apply to the vehicle or boat surface using overlapping strokes
- Rinse the head frequently in your wash bucket and rub across a Grit Guard to release trapped dirt
- Rinse the surface thoroughly when done
Pro tip: Use the Cap'n Mitt on a Stick for the roof and upper panels first, then switch to a standard mitt for the lower panels. This keeps the heaviest contamination — which settles at the bottom — away from your upper paint surfaces.
