Ceramic coating application is one of the most technique-sensitive steps in detailing — and the applicator you use makes a significant difference in the result. The Ceramic Applicator is designed specifically for applying liquid ceramic coatings, sealants, and graphene products with the precision and control needed to achieve a thin, even layer that flashes and bonds correctly without high spots, streaks, or missed areas.
The suede-wrapped foam block is the industry standard for ceramic coating application. The suede face holds just the right amount of product and releases it evenly as you work across the panel, while the foam core provides the right amount of flex to follow the contours of the surface. Use it with any of the Jax Wax ceramic or graphene coating products for professional-grade results.
Why the Right Applicator Matters
- Suede face for even product release — the suede surface holds coating and releases it in a thin, consistent layer as you work
- Foam core with surface flex — follows panel contours for even coverage on curved surfaces
- Precise control — small block size gives you the control needed to work panel by panel without over-applying
- Compatible with all liquid ceramic & graphene coatings — works with Jax Wax ceramic coatings, graphene sealants, and similar products
How to Use
- Apply 3–5 drops of ceramic coating to the suede face of the applicator
- Work the coating into the panel surface using overlapping cross-hatch strokes (horizontal then vertical)
- Apply thin, even coats — do not over-apply
- Allow to flash per the coating's instructions before buffing
- Use a clean microfiber towel to buff off the flashed coating
- Discard the applicator after use — ceramic coating cures on the suede and cannot be fully cleaned out
Pro tip: Use a fresh applicator for each coating session. Ceramic coating that has cured on the suede face will drag and cause uneven application. Keep a supply of applicators on hand so you always have a fresh one ready.
