Your paint has ceramic coating protection. Your wheels have ceramic coating protection. So why is your glass still bare? Jax Wax Glass Ceramic Coating brings the same advanced SiO2 technology to your windshield and windows, creating a hydrophobic barrier that causes rain to bead up and sheet off at speed — dramatically improving visibility in wet weather without ever touching your wipers.

At Chicago Jax Wax, we consider glass coating the most underrated step in a full detail. Once applied, water rolls off your windshield like it's afraid of it. Road grime, bugs, and water spots have nothing to bond to. And unlike traditional rain repellents that wash off in a few weeks, Jax Glass Ceramic Coating bonds to the glass at a molecular level and lasts 9+ months. Available in a 60mL bottle with no cure time required — apply it and drive.

What It Does

  • Extreme hydrophobic performance — water beads up and sheets off the glass at highway speeds, dramatically improving wet-weather visibility
  • Self-cleaning effect — coated glass repels road grime, bugs, and water spots so surfaces stay cleaner longer between washes
  • 9+ month durability — bonds to glass at a molecular level for long-lasting protection that outlasts traditional rain repellents by months
  • No cure time — apply and drive immediately, no waiting required
  • Easy application — no flash time, no complicated process; apply, spread, buff off
  • Works on all exterior glass — windshield, side windows, rear glass, and mirrors

How to Apply

  1. Thoroughly clean and dry the glass surface — clay the glass first if needed to remove embedded contamination
  2. Work in a cool, shaded area or early morning/late afternoon to avoid high surface temperatures
  3. Apply 5–10 drops of Jax Glass Ceramic Coating to an applicator pad
  4. Coat the glass in overlapping strokes, then cross-hatch to ensure even coverage
  5. Immediately buff off the excess with a clean microfiber towel until the glass is streak-free and clear — no flash time required
  6. Repeat for all exterior glass surfaces

Pro tip: Pair with Jax Wax Streak Free Glass Cleaner and a Twisted Loop Glass Towel for the cleanest possible prep surface before coating. The cleaner the glass going in, the better the coating bonds and the longer it lasts.
