CAP'N CUT Marine Oxidation Remover

Bring dull, chalky gelcoat back to life. CAP'N CUT is a heavy-cut marine compound made for gelcoat and fiberglass. It removes oxidation, water stains, light-to-moderate surface scratches, and weathered buildup so faded boats regain cleaner color, clarity, and gloss.

What it does

How to use

1. Wash the boat thoroughly with Boat Wash and allow it to dry completely.
2. Apply CAP'N CUT to a foam cutting pad or marine polishing pad.
3. Work the product into the surface with a dual-action or rotary polisher at medium speed. Apply by hand for small areas.
4. Use overlapping passes until the oxidation is removed and the surface becomes clearer and glossier.
5. Wipe away residue with a clean microfiber towel.
6. Follow with CAP'N POLISH to refine the finish, then protect it with Marine Coating.

Pro tip: Test a small, inconspicuous area first. For light oxidation, CAP'N POLISH alone may be enough. For heavy chalking and severe oxidation, use CAP'N CUT followed by CAP'N POLISH for the best restoration result.
